I’ve enjoyed a diverse career leading business and product strategy & operations, program management, and executive communications for distributed and remote organizations of thousands of people. I’m experienced in developing and driving business transformation, change management, and learning & development.
I can see a problem, generate and validate an idea on how to address it, build a cross-functional strategy and plan, and drive everything through precise communication and execution with grace, calm, and compassion.
At The New York Times, I engaged on a number of critical enterprise initiatives, including:
Directing a full business metrics transformation (sponsored by the Chief Growth Officer)
Driving biannual planning for business goals and OKRs across a diverse portfolio and a product development organization of 1.2K people, including engineering, product & program management, data & analytics, and design (distributed, hybrid)
Partnering with executive leadership to simplify the strategy, templates, and comms narrative for biannual planning
Establishing new operating and organizational models to streamline work, clarify ownership, and reduce churn
Shaping the career framework, charter, and promotion guidelines for the program management organization
Rebooting team culture via a new organizational structure and healthy communication & work norms
Driving searches for executive roles — assessing leveling, writing job descriptions, and leading interviews
Advising on policy for improving a meetings-heavy culture and supporting a hybrid work environment
Writing a proposal to establish an Operations & Chief of Staff function, including roles & responsibilities
Previously, I served as a Chief of Staff in Google Core, where I drove operational excellence: streamlining the QBR strategy and template for the CIO and establishing a portfolio management practice to facilitate quicker decision-making. When Covid-19 hit, I guided the organization through headcount and budget clawbacks, and realigned teams to support critical initiatives. I also drove the narrative and asset development for a readout to Sundar’s staff on access & insider risk, privacy, and security.
For the four years prior, I was Global Head of Go-to-Market Strategy & Operations in Google Cloud, where I hired and led a distributed team from Seattle to Singapore to support and rapidly scale two organizations — Sales Engineering & Solutions Engineering — that quickly grew from 100 to +2K people worldwide. Our team developed and enabled the first sales process and led the creation and cross-functional alignment of Cloud’s GTM strategy, Priority Solutions.
